Extending a Victorian Rural Estate House to Replace the Sold Off Main Residence

  • Brief -  Add an extension to existing dwelling to produce the appearance of a period timber framed house as the original, and the existing (Victorian building) as the later extension.
  • Time Frame – No constraint placed on this. The emphasis was on getting the best outcome possible.
  • Constraints – Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, high point in landscape terms.
  • Outcome - a building which looks like it has always been there and is totally in-keeping with the original Grade 2 listed building.
