Rural Design & Planning
Specialists in rural building design and planning consultancy services within the agricultural and equestrian sector
Although we are not exclusively aimed at working within the rural sector, our qualifications and farming backgrounds lend themselves well to working with clients who are living and working in the countryside. Clients range from individuals with one-off schemes to large farming and rural estates with ranges of business activities and enterprises.
Our rural expertise enables clients to have confidence in our understanding of their rural enterprise, which will specifically benefit you through the preparation of designing a fully considered scheme from the outset. We work with clients throughout Kent and East Sussex.
Experience working across all sectors of the rural community
We provide detailed designs for all types of agricultural, equestrian, viticulture, forestry, and renewable energy schemes. The range of livestock ventures our services extend to is across all sectors; poultry, sheep, beef, dairy, pigs, and alternative livestock. This may be a new rural business or altering a longstanding livestock venture. You may also require a riding arena, American barn or traditional stabling. Whether it is a grain store, a new build hop drying facility or general purpose buildings, we can advise and assist you.
We also have wide ranging expertise in farm diversification projects, including and not exclusively, farm shops, tourism, barn conversions into commercial use, on farm processing and renewable energy schemes.
Residential Class Q permitted development and other housing schemes also fall within rural design and planning projects and we are able to provide you with extensive experience in this regard also.
Bringing schemes to life with the help of digital terrain modelling software
Our digital terrain modelling software allows us to design the right volume, area and layout where you may require a new on-farm reservoir water store or lake to be created. We use this software in managing the landscaping of sites to accommodate new buildings also, and the technical support we can bring to your planning application in this regard helps the visualisation of a scheme and significantly enhances the chance of succeeding in a planning application. This modelling also benefits the construction process enormously.
In rural projects we provide clients with a complete project package or specific services in a particular area; anything from concept design, to survey, detailed design, planning consultancy, building regulations, and project management.
Our specialist knowledge in rural business matters enables us to engage proactively in rural contracts and we aim to benefit and enhance those living, working and operating businesses within the countryside.
