Design & Architectural Services across Kent & East Sussex

We have a wealth of experience preparing designs for a wide variety of schemes. Our team have an extensive range of skills and experience that allow us to confidently tackle your project. To provide you with an idea of the diversity of our design work our portfolio ranges between anything from a single churchyard lamp post, to listed building modifications, and multiple new build housing developments.

We also pride ourselves on being able to offer agricultural and equine design expertise based upon professional qualifications within our Team as well as hands-on experience of Team members running their own farms.

Detailed measured surveys

All our designs start with a client consultation to ascertain and establish the design brief. A detailed measured survey of a site then follows using a Topcon Total Station (satellite linked for optimum positioning accuracy). Providing this level of specialist equipment in house allows us complete control over when and how we measure a site or building. Over the years we have found that accurate and detailed as-existing drawings are essential to the success of a project, and every project we accept will receive the same level of care an attention at this very first stage.

With as-existing drawings prepared, we can then tackle with absolute confidence the proposed design for a scheme.

Versatile designs

We are often asked to prepare drawings for a very specific client-led brief, and in so doing, will automatically carry out a design stage Building Regulation Compliance assessment, reporting back to our client where we find points that might require modification or adjustments.

We are just as often asked to provide a design that solves a very simple brief such as “A 3 bedroom detached house in Arts and Crafts style on a constricted plot”. Conversely, we also have the design capability to produce detailed drawing sets for accommodating large-scale cattle housing for say 300 hundred suckler cows and many more projects besides.

Every design brief is different. Sometimes a proposed layout will develop as the project moves forward, and a client explores the ideas presented. Other schemes are developed with little revision or alteration.

Our design responds to the needs of the people or function for which the project is aimed, and we treat every client with the same degree of commitment, creativity and passion.

Where possible we aim to encourage and facilitate renewable energy technologies into schemes to produce the most sustainable design possible.
